I thought that the " Magic and Mayhem" Newspaper was really good. It had both historical facts mixed in the many fun things like horoscopes and daiy quizzes. All the information was thourh and complete. I really like reading myhoroscope. The only thing i would criticizes would be the blue and black on the front page. I would have enjoyed it more if the back round was gray.

I enjoyed viewing period 8-9 colonial murals. I rally liked the Colonial Econmoy mural because it showed both the inside of a house and the senery surrounding it. I had never thought to do Colonial Economy so i think that was a really cool topic to do. there was also alot of detail involved!

I liked the murals. They were a little unoriginal, but they did what they could with the time. I thought they were great.
The newspapers were good. I though they could be better organized, but as I said before, we had little time.

I think the murals were pretty good, considering the time nad the fact that 7th graders are not genius painters. Becuase the pictures were small, I couldn't understand everything the pictures were trying to communicate, but I thought the mural ppl did a good job at painting and choosing their scenes.

Sophy Schulman: the murals seemed a little incomplete but as Nathan said, "we have little time" to finish our projects completley. They were clear adn concise, and showed the aspects of colonial life in a mural, which is a challenge.

I personally liked the news paper but that's probably because I was in the newspaper class. The article I liked the most was the Weather Report by Shane V.

I think that my newspaper and 8/9's newspaper "Wicked Times" were very well written. The murals from the two periods were also very creative. I do hope to see the movies on the website in coming weeks though...

I liked the "Magic and Mayhem" newspaper. It was well organized and had some good info, as well as other interesting things. I also liked the period 8-9 murals. I thought the Colonial Economy one was cool, although I couldn't see all of the details.

I thought that some parts of Magic and mayhem had some parts in it that relly got my atention and that it was nicly done. There were some parts that were some parts that were relly funny. I think that some parts might have needed more facts but other then that I think that they people that worked on it did a great job.

I thought that the reviews by Charlie R. in the 3-4 newspaper were very complete and creative. He was able to create an entire world of literature, T.V., and musik that would have taken place back in the colonial times. The only have to sugest would be a better color scheme, because light green letters on a dark green background is just plain hard to read.

In the 3-4 murals I thought the one about the french and Indian war mural was the best. Even in such a small picture I could clearly see how bloody and organized that war was.

The Ergot article was very well written. It had a cool theory behind it, and was backed by facts, examples, and statistics.

The newspaper Wicked Times was really good! I read through (well... skimmed) the whole newspaper and it was really interesting. I love the Wanted sigh thing on the home page. I loved all the witchiness, and really liked the jokes (like the book Free The Witches had no review, no stars, and no author's name (also other jokes). The horoscopes, how to know if ur a witch, and everything else was very well written.

I think the "Magic and Mayhem" newspaper was very well written. It resembled a newspaper and had many goof facts explained in creative, easy-to-understand ways. I think that many people could definetly learn somethign from this newspaper and have a quick easy reference to The Salem Which Trials.

I absoulutly loved the wicked times! It seemed like an actual online newspaper. It was well organized and had lots of great deatails and really had the feeling of haveing witch trials.

The period 8/9 murals were cool, I thought that they were really well done and showed the real deal. There were somethings that could have been done a litle dit better though, such as maybe painting a little neater or using a more variety of colors.

Per 3-4

"Magic and Mayhem",

The newspaper "Magic and Mayhem" was well done. It seemed quite like a newspaper, except it was more colorful. The history and real events mixed with the ads and recreation was good, as well as realistic. I think there could be less front page articles (maybe three of four), but more overall articles. Also, the backround could be lighter, with dark text. But the pictures of eclipses were cool.

"Witchcraft in Colonial Times", Murals, per 3-4

The murals were good, but the materials and ideas for how to make them could be more original. I notice that two of them have suns on the border(?) Green seems to be the predominant color in the first three murals. The murals are informative, and the Anne Hutchinson mural contains the most information. All in all, the murals were good.

I thought the painting about the Salem Witch Triles was good becasue it gave a lot of information without using words. You could see things like teh number 57, a jugde hammer, and brooms. Those things symbolize a which. The number 57 you could guess meant that there might have been 57 suspected witches. Also the overall painting job was good. The details were clear and it had good color contrast.

The murals were really cool, even if we didn't have a huge amount of time to work with. I also thought that the newspapers were really well put together and thought out.

Aasha H: I thought that the "Magic Mayhem" newspaper was wonderful! I liked the facts that they stated, the news, games and etc.... It was just like a real newspaper. The title was great. It wasn't just a regular title, it explained a lot about what they newspaper was really about. They did a great job and their hard work shows.

Aasha H: I think the mural was great for 3-4. They showed a lot of good things that were important about the time. It was put together in a very creative manner. I liked it a lot. Period 8-9's mural was good as well. They painted well and showed good things.

I thought the "Magic and Mayhem" newpaper was really good. I liked it because you could really tell that all the students put a ton of effort into making sure it was great. The articles were all informative and well edited. I think they accomplished so much for the short ammount of time we had to finish our colonial projects.

I thought the murals were really good. I think that the artwork was good for such a short period of painting and research time. It's really cool to see our classmates hard work and effort...just putting that out there.

The article about missing items, by Mac S., was very funny. However, there were a few times when Mac refered to him self as "We" which I think he shouldn't have done since he wrote the article by himself. I also think that it might have been easier to read if there had been columns. But overall it made me laugh. Good job Mac.

Colonial Murials periord 8-9
The murial for colonial economy was very well done. it showed how they got it, where they put it after the buying, and when it was being sold to people of the colony. It basically showed the whole cycle of buying, stocking, and selling. i also enjoyed all of the different colors, i think that the people who did this really thought of getting their facts across, and they definatily did with me.Great job to all of you.

Magic and Mayhem.
I was amazed my how much there was in this newspaper. it was well done, and has ALOT of interesing articles and fact. it was very interesting on basically every single thing i looked at.Great job to all of you.

My favorite mural was the one about "Colonial Conflicts." It showed very well what kings of things the puritans had to go through. The only thing is that it is not very easy to tell who is fighting who. But it is very realistic looking.

I thought that the murals were painted very well. even with out considering the time limit. my two favorite paintings were the colonial economy and the colonial conflicts. the colonial economy was interesting because you could see the inside of the houses. the colonial conflicts paiting was really cool how you could see both sides of the fight. but it was really hard to tell some details because the pictures were really small.

I looked at the period 8-9 murals and realized that not only did the group do a great job painting, but they did a great job with ideas. The Colonial Conflicts mural showed how they killed Indians and all of the violence that guns can cause. I agree with Nathan that the class did what they could with their time. I am impressed how much thought...and text, was put into the period 8-9 class newspaper. I liked the Wanted sign, it seemed somewhat authentic (I don't know if you got it off Google Images or made it in Photoshop or something, but I like it).

I think that the period 8-9 mural titled "Colonial Conflict" was quite good. The ideas were expressed quite clearly and the painting style was good as well. My only question is; would it not have been fitting to put some sort of reference as to how the Indians inflicted some violence upon the colonists rather than having one at gunpoint nearly defenseless at the hands of a colonist.

I enjoyed the period 8-9 newspaper "Wicked Times" it had a good representation of facts as well as some interesting sections however I seem to have come across some navigational issues concerning the link "Group Articles".

I read the "Magic and Mayhem" newpaper, and particulary enjoyed Derek's Portrayal of the Sermons. It seemed almost pratchett-esque, with his "he repeated in all languages known to man, and two in monkey". I also thought that the rest of the newspaper was also well written, and had a very comical syle to he writting. However, I thought that the layout could be a little more standardized (Almost every page has a deifferent layout), and could be more serious if they wanted to be realistic. Apart from that, I thought that the newspaper was very good, and profesional-looking. No mispelings anyware!

Note: Following the tradition of those before me, I have intertionally missspelled a few words in my post.

i thought the 8-9 period newspaper was ok. The stories were good but the designing was not the best. It would be better if there was more creativity. The 8-9 period murals were really good. Although some of the things were not the most creative, the art was amazing. Good Work!

I liked the "Magic in Mayhem". It was a well writen newspaper. I liked how it had a big varity of things. I think the text could be a tiny bit bigger. It was hard to read when i was reading it. Besides this little thing it was great.

Period 8-9's news paper was very good. one of my favorite parts was the quiz that tells you if you were a witch or not, that was very creative. All of the articles were well written and you could tell that they put alot of research and work into them. The only thing I would change is the colors, the white on black was a little distarcting. The colonial murals were very good, I expecially liked the Colonial Rituals Mural in 8-9. I thought this was a very good mural because it combined two rituals back then, witch burnings and thanksgiving diner. they group decide to also use a simple white border which really drew me in to the main picture. This murals was also different then the others and didnt try to show to many things at one time. Taylor C.

I think that the paper Magic and Mayhem was a realy nice peace of work. there were only some parts that I thought were not necasery but other then that is was great.
